Announcing new website for threats to world heritageWorld Heritage Alert (www.worldheritagealert.org) is a newly launched website that highlights threats to the worlds heritage places, and hopes to promote awareness and action from the public to defend these fragile places. Website creator George Chaplin is no stranger to heritage campaigns, being a founder member of www.heritageaction.org and Chairman of www.timewatch.org "it is time to start bringing together the various campaigns around the world in order to create a much stronger pro-heritage lobby" Said Mr Chaplin "By creating this online magazine I hope to begin that process, our forum already has members from a wide variety of campaining organisations that realise international attention is a very important aspect of their campaigns." The website is an online magazine, with articles from fellow heritage activists and also an online forum which has already proven extrememly popular. |
