| On the hill 300m or so behind the farm, this stone is easily 10 feet tall, and 3 feet wide. It stands on a NE/SW axis, edge-on to the Paps of Jura, with a sweeping view over the Bruichladdich distillery over north Loch Indaal to Bowmore/Bogh Mor. It stands on private land with no public access – ask for permission at the farmhouse, the farmer's very friendly. visited 17 June 05 |
