could some please shed some light... how old is this henge and has the wood exposed been added/replaced recently - surely wood that is this well preserved isn't the original. It's a nice photo, but some some history/fieldnotes would be good. It just looks a little too 'new' for me! (apologies for my negativity - but i'm new to all this!!)
