Dundry Stones

Stone Row / Alignment

Dundry Stones (Stone Row / Alignment) by vulcan Don't know anything about these stones only that they're old, maybe not to ancient, and seem to align themselves to the Dundry village church, and that the field they're in is according to Albany Majors (app 1927 ?) the route of Wansdyke west of Maes Knoll. He gave two routes for Wansdyke, firstly following the present road you can see (Oxleaze lane) and secondly between the stones and the hedge. The nearest quarry seems to be about 1Km east.
