Carburrow Quoit

Chambered Tomb

Fieldnotes

There is some discussion over wheather or not this is a quoit or just a well balanced group of stones.
It lies on the northern slope of Carburrow Tor and can be easily found by following the remains of an ancient wall from the eastern cairn.
I have also been told that there is some talk of it being a pointer stone....but you will have to ask Cornwall Archeology Unit about that.
