Mam Tor barrows

Round Barrow(s)

Fieldnotes

The better preserved of the two barrows (although it has a large crater in the top) this one stands close to the southwest entrance to the hillfort and has some gorgeous views to the north, south and west. It could be that it formed a chain of monuments stretching westwards along Rushup Edge including Lord's Seat and Green Low. Chris Collyer Posted by Chris Collyer
