Thank you, I appreciate that a lot. It's a fantastic place isn't it? I reckon it's one of the best-placed monuments in Wales, with the drop down to the lake below. Seriously big cairn too, for all the messing about that's happened to it. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

Thanks tjj, my route up was very enjoyable with wonderful views of the valleys and lakes, the clouds didn't start until quite near the tops of the mountains. I'm out of condition though, I was knackered when I reached the top of Pen yr Ole Wen. After that it was a stroll really, all the hard work done. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
