On the contrary, isn't that the road they wanted to close to traffic so people can use to walk down if they wanted to. Don't know what happened to that plan, it is generally a quiet road. A lovely photo. tjj Posted by tjj

Hi tjj, you are quite right, there were plans put forward in 2015 as part of the ultimate 'Stonehenge and Avebury solution' although I'm not sure anything was agreed. It was just a light hearted comment and no offence intended to either the English or World Heritage organisations for their stewardship of the site. Posted by costaexpress
