Intriguing; some artistic licence, definitely, because there sure as hell ain't a church within sight of Yellowmead though I guess the one at Sheepstor isn't far away. Maybe it was visible in those days. And the stones aren't that big...... ironstone Posted by ironstone

Yep, it looks like Sheepstor church. I see I added a dubious holy well there :)

You people are so polite. I was getting confused enough adding things anyway but this must be the worst. Remove or is there somewhere to move? You can be honest. I'm probably always adding dubious things. Ah but all these tors in Dartmoor are so lovely with their weird rocks. I need to go and visit many more. Rhiannon Posted by Rhiannon

If it's not a fanciful drawing of Yellowmead then it raises the possibility that those are the remaining stones of what would have been quite a big circle near to Sheepstor, now sadly lost altogether. Fascinating. ironstone Posted by ironstone

Dubiousness adds to TMA's rich tapestry, I expect. Anyway, the tor was certainly there when the circle was built :) thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
