Incredible! What are the chances of getting a shot like that? A million to one I'd guess. I presume that's your shadow, or was there really a spectre present? Amazing, well done! A R Cane Posted by A R Cane

Thanks folks. It was the best one I've seen for ages. I think it's probably my shadow though it does look quite a bit trimmer than me so you never know :-) thelonious Posted by thelonious

I've said before how I wish there was a 'best of' book of sites added to TMA over the years, and, similarily, I'd love to see a book of the best images. Were that the case, this pic'd be straight in there in the Otherworldly section. Well done. spencer Posted by spencer

Thanks Spencer. I was lucky with the mist and early sun.

Not really much to do with the hillfort but the reason I was there early was that I had stayed the night close by. If anyone is ever passing through this area and is looking for a different place to stay the night, maybe give this a look - A 1960's caravan up a tree in the middle of nowwhere! It was an interesting night to say the least but I was kind of glad to see the morning, good fun though. You can see Tap o'Noth from the tree and Wormy Hillock (a favourite place) is just down the track.

Absolutely amazing. I've seen a 'brocken' twice in my hillwalking days, but none as perfect as this. LesHamilton Posted by LesHamilton
