Oh I'd disagree with it being a wreck. Relative, naturally, but as unrestored northern Highland sites go this is excellent. The farmers on the northern coast - I've found in general - do not treat monuments on their land with any respect whatsoever. Those at Skelpick across the river, for example, are an absolute disgrace, actually using their monuments as rubbish tips! The preservation of this was actually a very pleasant surprise. I'll post some more stuff about Skelpick later. I was reading Audrey Henshall's field reports from half a century back and she mentions the rubbish then. These are scheduled monuments and let's be honest... tourists are not likely to deposit empty tins of paint, are they?... clearly that is locals for some perverse reason.
