A great iconic photo - I would love to get here one day. Just been reading Postman's field note and guess what, he was talking about fairies - see Tintagel post on forum :) tjj Posted by tjj

Thank you :)

It's terrific, first visit in snow was very hard going, this wasn't too bad at all apart from the odd squelch.

I've long fancied visiting this site; is it as long a trek as it looks on the OS map? Equivalent to or further than White Moor? ironstone Posted by ironstone

I have only approached from the west twice, not too bad, a bit of an uphill but nothing major. Some boggy bits. The first trip was much harder because of the snow and the fact we had to start from down in Talsarnau as the lanes were impassable. I think others have approached from the south via Llyn Eiddew Bach which is a bit longer but probably slightly more gentle. The hardest approach would be from the east over the rocky northern summits of the Rhinogydd range. Distance wise, probably no worse than White Moor but my memory from there was of a very hot day after a dry spell, so not easy to compare.

Judging by your other recent visits you would be able to get there without too much trouble I think.

Brilliant, thanks; now I've got a good excuse for another trip to North Wales! ironstone Posted by ironstone
