| What a marvellous spot. You can't be lonesome when you find something like that, someone got there before you! To me they look like permanent raindrop ripples in the puddle. Or is it something about the air or the sun. It looks so elemental. |

It looked a little lonely when we first arrived. I think it was pleased to see us, even if it had to put up with my constant babbling (the soundtrack to most of our walks). I think we saw more cup and ring marked stones over the week we were here than I have seen in my lifetime. The overall feeling I got from them was one of movement. It was hard not to keep thinking about water and rain. I love the photo from Chatton by Hob of the raindrops next to the cup and rings. | I like Hob's photo a lot. And I like the way you say 'I think it was pleased to see us', as my sister and I express the same crazy thoughts on our trips out to see stone fonts. And Spencer, the carvings won't be understood any better by measuring them to the millimetre, they're art so needs some non-scientific fancifulness :) You better find out when the next full moon is and get out there to have a look. |

| Feels good to talk to planet earth whilst we're out and about, the stars as well. Trees, rocks, standing stones, anything really. All connected. I like to think they listen. Maybe even reply, in their own way sometimes. Thanks for the comments. Keep chatting to the fonts :-) |
