Nant Tarw

Stone Circle

Nant Tarw (Stone Circle) by cerrig Noticed this while I was there this morning. In the mid distance is the stone row and it's recumbent, and between it and me a line can be drawn through the northern edge of the Eastern circle and the southern edge of the Western circle. A tangent.

Had a feeling you would go. Any ideas if an accurate plan has ever been published... we're getting into Mr Thom's territory here. Incidentally had a look on Amazon for his Megalithic Rings book... almost a grand! GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

I was heading up to the beacons anyway, I just got up a few hours earlier to catch the sun, who had a lie in till midday. Still, a dusting of frosty snow gave it all a bit of magic. A lovely morning to be in the hills.
It was surveyed by Alexander Thom, but his book is very difficult to find, I have tried. I wanted his plan of Cerrig Duon as the official one is wrong. I do have a plan of the circles somewhere. I will try and find it and post it up.
