Ah! There is no where quite like those rolling downs of the Pewsey Vale and surrounds. How did you get there if you don't mind me asking as not so easy to access without transport. tjj Posted by tjj

The trusty 49!

Got off at Beckhampton Firs this time, walked up Easton Down (a nice gentle incline) then followed Wansdyke round the north of Tan Hill before heading off down Harestone Down to East Kennett, West Kennett, the Avenue and Avebury to catch the bus back.

I would've liked to include Rybury but it was just a bit more than I wanted to walk with such short daylight.
