I saw your photo's from Y Ro Wen and was glad that you thought that it was a genuine cairn as well. Funny that you had been staring up at it all these years. You obviousy have the mountains in your blood !
Several generations of my gt gt Grandparents lived in the valley below (Cwm Penamnen) in the 17 and 1800's
