Dinas Emrys

Hillfort

Dinas Emrys (Hillfort) by GLADMAN An archive scan looking from Moel Hebog emphasising Dinas Emrys' strategic prowess - standing overlooking Llyn Dinas and controlling access to/from Nant Gwynant. The shapely (from this direction, at least) Bronze Age summit of Moel Siabod commands the skyline, with Y Liwedd rising top left, cohort of Y Wyddfa, Herself. Incidentally, the wonderfully rocky top of Moel Meirch can be seen centre right skyline, Bwlch y Rhediad's denuded cairn proffering a fine approach for those in search of a little more 'me' time.
