The Leskernick ‘Quoit’ - 3.4.2003
This ‘pseudo-quoit’ was identified towards the top of Leskernick Hill at SX18258015. It’s a flat stone about 8ft across, sloping downwards and supported by three stones. It has been suggested that it may be the ritual focus of the site. I also found a very similar ‘quoit’ about 50m South of recognised one - not as big or impressive but may suggest they weren’t one offs?This post appears as part of the weblog entry Another Kernow Week |
