Cnoc Bad Na Cleithe (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN Parting shot of the northern monument.... to paraphrase Morrissey, some cairns are bigger than others. But few can be so exquisitely placed in the landscape, so thanks to thelonious for highlighting this one. According to Assynt's 'Hidden Lives' project there are two possible crannogs within the loch. Well, there's form in the area with what looks like a certain one at Loch Borralan.

Funny you should mention crannogs since it seems fieldwork undertaken for 'Assynt's Hidden Lives' project in 2009 suggests there are two possibles in Loch Awe....... GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN
