Despite the easy access - by broad, stony track - there is a nice remote vibe here within the Inchnadamph Forest.

The remoteness is actually relative this trip.... a lot of the sites are not that far from the road, probably accessible to most. There's very much an Irish vibe in the far north I think.... stuff sitting on hillsides in plain sight and the locals not really bothering since 'it's always been there', tourists hurrying past to the sanctuary of luxury lodges and hotels.
