Garrywhin

Hillfort

Garrywhin (Hillfort) by GLADMAN Approaching in a, er, rather roundabout way from Warehouse Hill... the first thing to strike me was this fine trio of standing stones not shown on the map. Closer inspection revealed this is because they form the northern entrance to the fort, presumably a fourth now missing? I pondered whether this may have been a conscious effort to symbolically reflect the passages of the passage graves in the vicinity?
