Yar Tor

Stone Row / Alignment

Yar Tor (Stone Row / Alignment) by GLADMAN The cairn-circle near the southern extremity of the row at SX61177386, apparently known locally as the 'Money Pit'. None in there when I looked, but there you are.

Oh, another great looking spot. Classic Dartmoor shot, that. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

The landscape doesn't grab me quite as much as other areas - you can probably guess which - but you certainly can't fault the archaeology.... or its placement in the landscape. Or the sense of brutal wilderness when away from the honey pots. Classic. GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

I know exactly what you mean, and you can't walk 10 yards without falling over something ancient.
