Yes, but difficult to know how old that particular earthwork is. The more dateable dyke (prob. Iron Age) is further down beyond the quarry workings.

I'd also argue for the South Downs Way to be a sub section in its own right, like The Ridgeway is on here. It's considerably longer, a much more straightforward path and has as many impressive sites along its way (though sadly no stone monuments!). How about it Eds?

Presumably the Ridgeway is on here as it *is* a monument in its own right (being a dateable prehistoric trackway), whereas the SDW is just a path? Could be wrong though. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
