New Book by Jack Roberts

I picked this up in Bantry yesterday;

http://www.skibbereenbookshop.com/books/irish-interest/751-the-sun-circles-by-jack-roberts.html

Not an academic volume, but very comprehensive and worth getting hold of if you're interested in the circles of West Cork.

Anthony Murphy has a podcast here;

Was really pleased to read this item. I came across two or three of his publications whilst in west Cork in 2012 - all beautifully illustrated. Jack Roberts does not seem to have an internet presence as most of his work seemed to have been undertaken in that 'time before the internet'. The stone circles of West Cork and the Beara Peninsula are truly magical ... I missed a few of them and always hope to go back one day. tjj Posted by tjj

Its available directly from the author via his facebook page and I think he is due to have a launch of the book and the publishers are to put up a web page etc. I just got chatting to him online in relation to the alignment database that I'm working on and he seems a very nice guy. bawn79 Posted by bawn79
