Thanks for the comments everyone! A little bit of planning and a big dollop of luck involved, I saw the sun would almost be in line with the rows shortly after sunrise using the Lightrac app but was caught a bit by surprise with the mist which appeared very rapidly then disappeared again just as quickly as the sun warmed the air. It was very foggy and atmospheric the last time I was here for dawn a few years ago, I think the boggier lower ground around the middle section of the rows probably makes this fairly frequent. Spectacular shot. Nice work!

One of my personal best shots was pure luck. It was taken on an old compact camera, but I've never bettered it since. Patience helps, but ultimately as daytime landscape photographers, we're slaves to the vagaries of the weather and the light. That still doesn't take away from the technical skill and the eye for composition, so well done!
