Hetty Pegler's Tump

Long Barrow

Hetty Pegler's Tump (Long Barrow) by thesweetcheat The inside of the lintel. Once inside, the height of the roofing slabs is sufficient to allow you to stand fairly upright (depending on your height!).

Ah! You went in, I guess most people would. Looks like you had a great walk. tjj Posted by tjj

Cheers June, it's great to see it back open (graffiti notwithstanding).

We did have a great walk, the Cotswold Way section from Stroud to Dursley, taking in The Toots, Soldier's Grave, Nympsfield, Hetty Pegler's Tump (a bit of a diversion) and Uley Bury. First time I've been back to any of those places for 3 or 4 years.
