Nice Photo. I've been in this area a few times, Torr Achilty SE of this is a lovely little hill, but I've never seen the crannog and have wondered what it looks like.

Are most of your recent photos all from your recent trip up north? If so, I salute you, it is one epic tour.

Stopped here for the night and kicking myself for not visiting the nearby henge... totally slipped my mind.

Yeah, they are all from May. The weather was variable but the light more or less always interesting with no midges.. major bonus, that. So I had to keep going. Think I lost about half a stone. 14 nights in the back of the car doesn't do a lot for the old bones, but allows abrupt changes to plans!

14 nights in the back of the car! I'm looking out my window at my Punto and shuddering at the thought! thelonious Posted by thelonious

So would I! The old Rover was ideal, but that gave up the ghost last October. I've now got a not too old Focus estate which is comfortable enough and more or less the same length. GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN
