Carn Pica

Cairn(s)

Carn Pica (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN That the highlands were chosen by our Bronze Age predecessors as a suitable environment in which to intern and venerate their VIP dead is perhaps not surprising to those that venture to such landscapes... discerning overarching vibes that seem, well, appropriate.

Hard to explain... but perhaps this off-guard moment, the Mam C 'pausing to reflect' (OK,OK) within the small tarn upon Allt Lwyd, conveys what I mean? The site of the probable Bronze Age cairn crowning Carn Pica can be seen top left.
