I guess we now know which the pits were for, this one still looks like it works a bit, they were probably lined with clay and held water for ponds to maybe even keep fish in [a constant food supply to go with the other animals they would have kept], no more hunting for these people, it looks like they were properly breeding [maybe even for trade] and that they didn't just eat animals that ran around on legs. bladup Posted by bladup

I thought maybe a frog farm.(not seriously) But fish will do I suppose, if they were clay lined wouldn't that be easily verified ? and hence no mystery postman Posted by postman

I just read your great notes and was going to put in brackets [or frogs - they so would have eaten them wouldn't they? and if not they could have been for the witches brew!] and do you think that sheep was checking to see if you had tsc with you. bladup Posted by bladup

Spleen of frog, and eye of newt, and maybe a sheeps something or other,
or it might have been, as you say looking for Alken, people walking about like they own the place have to be watched closely.

It's a pit for drowning cheeky buggers, that's my theory. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

One pit for witches ingredients, one pit for cheeky buggers, what could've gone in the others? none Scorpio's ? postman Posted by postman

Haaaa, for cheeky buggers i like it, and that whole pit is just for us scorpion's, i thought it might have been the scorpion's chucking in who they thought were the cheeky buggers. bladup Posted by bladup

Scorpions? Scorpios? Am I to assume you are (all?) born under the sign of Scorpio? Everybody knows Gemini is the best sign to be born under, surely? Evergreen Dazed Posted by Evergreen Dazed

Yes were all Scorpios, Gemini? aren't they all of two minds, yes no yesnoyesno. Another pit for Geminis as well then, in you get. postman Posted by postman

I don't think were of two minds. Then again, I think we might be.
Pit? I'm not getting in there. Might be nice though. Perhaps I will. Might be awful though, i'm not doing it. Or perhaps I should try it..

I'm Gemini Sun, Scorpio Moon apparently.
I think that means I can see both sides of everything, but i'm very intense while i'm doing it.
Sounds like a pain in the backside to me.

Funny all the Scorpio going on.. Scorpios typically have a liking for the mysterious.

Oh yes evergreen your such a gemini, i should have known!!![is your birthday near the solstice or near the bull end, i guess this end because their seems to be a little taurus in you as well], I think i once said talking to you was sometimes like talking to 2 different people [one a bit mysterious and one really logical], and some scorpio's are that deep they even think sheep are mysterious! bladup Posted by bladup

I'm closer to the solstice and aye, that 'duality' is an old companion.
Light/dark, left/right, up/down, all over the bleedin shop.

It would be great to know the most prevalent sign for people interested in prehistory etc. I'll bet it is Scorpio.

In men i'd think so, at school there was 4 of us scorpian boys and one time we all ordered the same mysteries of the world book without knowing it, we was about 8 or 9 at the time but i remember the teacher saying there must be something in all the scorpian boys ordering the same book on mysteries, and the great thing is there's even a mystery in that! bladup Posted by bladup

People like to rubbish astrology, but I genuinely believe in it.

You open yourself up to snorts of derision (and worse) by saying something like that, usually from people that haven't bothered to investigate, but I have read enough and experienced enough to know it is not the mumbo jumbo that people feel comfortable dismissing it as.

I'm not saying all 'practitioners' are 100%, but I believe the 'system', for want of a better word, is.

Well you and me fit ours stereotypically, and i can tell an aries [both my parents] or taurus [2 of my kids are taurus the other 2 scorpio's] within minutes of knowing them, so i know there's a hell of a lot in it, and before the lass i'm with now [libra] i have only ever unknowingly gone out with girls born in January and have mainly been friends with people born around the same time of year or from the opposite end, so each end to me seems linked by a line [even with my kids been from both ends], i love the fact that when you look at scorpio in the night sky your looking into the center of our galaxy and when looking at taurus your looking at the quickest and shortest way out [they're both on a line], it's just a damn shame you can never see all of scorpio from Britain, as you'll well know it's the only star sign that we can't see all of, that's maybe why we're always looking for things we can't find. bladup Posted by bladup

Yes we love a good mystery and were all natural born explorers, apparently were single minded, given to obsessing . I almost believe. I read once its not when you were born but when you were conceived that makes you what you are. postman Posted by postman

Yes we love a good mystery and were all natural born explorers, apparently we're single minded, given to obsessing [a lot] - it's as good a description as you'll get for us, we're nice ones as well, i've known a few nasty one's though, so we have to keep a lid on our temper sometimes as well. bladup Posted by bladup

Obsessive? Don't know what you mean. But then as a Scorpio I don't care what anyone else thinks about me. Apparently. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
