Yr Aelgerth

Ancient Village / Settlement / Misc. Earthwork

Yr Aelgerth (Ancient Village / Settlement / Misc. Earthwork) by GLADMAN According to relatively recent (2007/2008) surveys by those intrepid Coflein people... there are a number of Bronze/Iron Age sites clustered in the northern environs of Cwm Dwythwch to the right of the grassy ridge left of frame. Not just sheepfolds and rubble, then. The image is taken from Moel Eilio itself, Y Glyderau rising across the valley. Incidentally the prominent ridge rising centre right carries the Snowdon Mountain Railway.
