| Visited 23.8.12 Directions: Take the minor road north out of Treharris which is sign posted Merthyr Vale. (This road is tricky to find but you need to turn left at the church up a very steep and poor quality road) Keep going past Tir Cook farm and the Cairn is on the right. The Cairn is now little more than a rough grass area. Not worth the effort. COFLEIN states: ‘A cairn formerly 7m in diameter and 0.4m high in 1956 has all but been ploughed out, surviving as a patch of undulations 7m across’. |
