It's a nice little surprise this one isn't it, only went there myself the other week, can't wait to see it in winter when the ferns are down, that's the time to visit the ones covered isn't it, goldherrings gone to the ferns at the moment in the winter you see everything, i wonder if it was always like this and they were winter settlements. bladup Posted by bladup

Yeah, another new one for me too. Never been to Goldherring either. I imagine that they managed to keep the place a bit tidier when it was occupied. My garden looks like this if I leave it for a while... thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

Goldherrings really easy [a track] from a30 parking for boscawen un, it even has a sign, i saw it all earlier in the year and everything was visable, went back the other week and even though i knew where everything was it was still hard- try visiting early in the year, everythings down in march and it was that hot i got burnt, so ferns down doesn't = cold.[you'll see so much more on your visits [you can still come in the summer eh], i've been all over and it really is special down here isn't it?, places like boskednan, boscawen un and chun are still alive in a way other places are not anymore, i really believe this, the two circles listed above are always powerful and moving, boscawen un always seems to jump into your mind. goldherrings like carn euny but built within a round and has big stones where the entrance was [it's walled up]. bladup Posted by bladup
