As it happens, I've been lavishing some tlc on some pickled fish in jars at work. A jar of which have been gurnards. And your photo, it does make the headland look like a gurnard's head. Kind of concave snout with sticky up eyes. So there you go!

The pub sign of the nearby (and very excellent) Gurnard's Head is a picture of a gurnard. I'd rather the fort than a pickled gurnard though, to be honest. Your job sounds interesting though, unless you work in a chip shop. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
