Pen-y-Gorllwyn (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN Perhaps it is appropriate that the photographer is featured in such a poor image.. but I think it is a small price to pay for highlighting the two substantial cairns which crown this obscure Mid Walian peak. The south-western example can be seen surmounting the ridge top left, a fallen monolith available for inspection a little beyond - assuming you appreciate it for what it is. If you are as lucky as I was you may well be 'inspected' yourself by a Red Kite looking for an easy meal. My other images are unfortunately worse than this, which, I guess, raises a challenge for another member to capture something to do this wondrous location justice...
