I haven't read Diamond Geezers blog but I went to see the stone in Cannon Street about a month ago with my son. I must say it's present location is not ideal as although it is sited behind a somewhat ornate grill you have to squat down and peer through metalwork into a dimly lit chamber. It is difficult to form any opinions about it as it can not be seen in it entirety or at all really and I would imagine moving it to a more suitable location can only be a good thing...providing it is still viewable by the general public at any time. :o) C |
