Christianised Site

Fieldnotes

Visited 1.10.11

I parked on the side of the road and walked up the lane towards the church.
Through the metal gate and walked around the church looking for the stone pictured.

It was easy to spot to the right of the church entrance – just follow the footpath.

There were a few other large stones helping to make up the foundations of the church but whether these are of 'prehistoric' origin or not I have no idea.

The churchyard was a pretty place to be in the unseasonably warm weather.

Unfortunately the church was locked so I was unable to have a wander inside.
