There is some suggestion this may be a wheelhouse. The RCAHMS database describes it as measuring 12.5 m internal diameter. Walls, 2.1 m thick, consist of red sandstone orthostats 0.7 m max height forming inner and outer faces with rubber infilling. The entrance is in the SE, adjacent to a midden heap of limpet and cockle shells, against the outer wall. Vague traces of posisble internal cells are possible.
