Really enjoyed reading your post Gladman, and good to see you here again - you have been missed. I like your entire post but particularly liked this sentence "The way the sun streams into the centre and leaves shadows suggestive of some other dimension." That was exactly what I was trying to say about how the golden light from the setting sun lit up Uffington one evening last month while I was travelling back from London on the train. So thank you.
