It's a great site. I've wanted to go for years, since the paper TMA and the black and white photo in little Burl.

I pretty much followed the same route as Sanctuary with a diversion to Clitters cairn. My only issue with the circle itself is the central stone that doesn't look right to me. I think the pools around the stones are quite nice although there is always the worry of the stones becoming unstable.

Because it was so dry I went to Goodaver more directly than I originally planned from here, but followed your advice regarding using the forestry tracks. By the way the "private" section has now been mostly felled.
