The cairns, tombs, hillforts and stones will still be there and await your return. I hope you are back on your feet as soon as possible. I broke an ankle some years back (I had some metal pinning done - then removed the following year in a second op). The break was a stupid accident and only took me a second to do. However the ankle takes a bit of a longer time to knit back than it does to break, but they DO knit back. Sheer Force of Will is a useful encourager of new bone growth too.
Good luck, take care and accept the short-to-mid-term frustrations. Try to do what the docs, nurses and physios tell you to...
