Topographically, it is on a high point, overlooking the Avon flood plains i.e. melksham, Chippenham, and over to Calne, Avebury etc. If the trees werent in the way you could pretty much see the obelisk at Cherhill.
It seems a pretty unexplored bit of Wilts, but there are loads of interesting features around.....
