You could make anything up here couldn't you. The dog will become part of folklore now and the stories get better and better as time goes on :-)

LS has just been reading the story out about the dog, shame it had to be sacrificed though, and buried atop two other dogs as well, there is a whole story in there somewhere.
Dog worship is to be found round Wiltshire as well, mostly in the Romano-British temples. they have a healing aspect in their antiseptic saliva...

Well that's the thing isn't it, was it really sacrificed or does it make for a better story. In my world it could be a plot that someone buried his dogs in rather like I do now. I have 8 dogs in my 'garden of rest'. Just believing it 'may' have been bound then sacrificed is not proof positive.

blimey, 8 of them ? time to get a tortoise or something

I lost one just this past weekend at 16 yeares of age. He was a great working dog that was very special to me as was his mother. Got nine more to go and bred them all!! Chief is my current 'stonehead' dog and great to have out with you on ventures. All Border Collies BTW.
