In the days of Charles Fort and Erich von Daniken we were being shown drawings and prints of apparent 'spacemen' wearing what appeared to be space helmets of the type seen today and also that 'pilot' sat amongst a mass of pipes and cables which Daniken claimed was an ancient astronaut at the controls of his spaceship! What happened after that, did it ever come to anything or were all the claims proven to be depictions of something else or complete nonsense in the first place?
