I tried it in several locations in Carnac and at several stones....high success rate at every one. If this was restoration work they have created aphenomenom, either by accident or design, which is fortuitous for people who like to view the stones as other than just a feat of labour. The pathway up to Le Geant and the Quadrangle btw has rocky outcrops underfoot almost natural steps (is this due to pedestrian erosion???) but similar in ways to parts of Tunbridge Wells...as was mentioned in another thread...there is a feeling that there may be something hidden (or removed) around there.
