Depending on which alignment you assessed, you might want to investigate its recent history. I'm not the expert, but I'm pretty sure I've read conflicting histories about "restoration" of the, at least, alignment closest to Carnac town. Histories implying those rows are almost certainly now only an approximation of their original configuration, due to sloppy restoration.

Just something to consider.
