| Been on a wonderful outing today, took in the three henges at Thornborough and also the one a Hutton Moor and the vanished one at Nunwick. Thornborough Map Ref: SE285795 Hutton Moor Map Ref: SE353735 The south henge at Thornborough I have found several references to it having been destroyed by ploughing, but I could see very little evidence of this, it is certainly well worth a visit. Though the Norhern most henge is the most impressive, even under its canopy of trees. Hutton Moor henge is another well worth a visit.
