Well, you gave me the equinox sunrise - or close to it - from the stone row. That's good enough in itself, even if it is blocked by trees now. But I'm just investigating the relationship between two suspected ancient monuments. If you turn the summer solstice sunset around, and look at the Thornhope stone row, then you are looking down the line of the winter solstice sunrise, and an open horizon.

The GoogleEarth topographic projection seems to reduce the contour height by about half, so the smaller dips and bumps are less noticeable. The cairns don't show and Amos Hill is reduced to a pimple - but I have another main valley feature for you to look at. I'll locate it tomorrow, SSW, I think ...
