I have measured nothing at Trethevy, apart from a day's whimsical search for the Megalithic Yard, because of the difficulty of measuring this asymmetrical structure in three dimensions, and because I am not a surveyor. The strong suspicion now is that the aperture in Stone 8 has optical qualities connected with its use for direct observation of the sun. So, 'measurement' of this beautifully cut feature is overdue, and for more reasons than one I can see how remiss I have been in this respect. Please advise me (seriously), as to how to go about this. What exactly do you want to know? It is easy enough for me to get there and do it.
Please advise; and thanks again.
David Kane.
