| Go, The Time Team! :) "On Sunday 6 February 2011 at 5.25 pm Channel 4 will be screening the 200th edition of Time Team. This special edition of the programme, screened during the 60th anniversary year of Dartmoor’s designation as a National Park, tells the story of three days of investigations carried out at Tottiford Reservoir on Dartmoor. In August 2010 Channel 4’s Time Team spent three days investigating a recently discovered prehistoric complex at Tottiford Reservoir, near Hennock, on Dartmoor. The discovery of the complex, which includes a stone circle and stone rows, was announced by Dartmoor National Park Authority following the draining of the reservoir by South West Water for maintenance. The Time Team crew of over 60 included their well known presenters, Tony Robinson, Mick Aston, Phil Harding and Francis Pryor . A number of trenches were opened up at strategic points over the site, various types of geophysical survey took place, old maps were looked at in detail and the former landscape setting of the site was examined. The site was also flown over and a reconstruction of how the site might have appeared in prehistory was produced by their artist Victor Ambrus. The results of Time Team’s 3 days of investigation were exciting and unexpected.
