That's a bit conspiracy theory isn't it? For one thing, I don't think your average tma reader is the sort to go buying bits of rock art? I could be wrong. But I'd have thought most of them would rather see them free-ranging in the wild, on display in a museum, or at least being enjoyed by whoever found them. Besides, what on earth would be the going rate? You wouldn't be able to sell more than one or the game would be up. You might as well peck away at Genuine Replicas and pop them on ebay. Though you'd never make your fortune would you, it's a bit of a specialist market :)

Also, it's blatantly not 'writing', it's rectangles with a zig zag through them, it's a pattern. Or is that part of the ruse, to pretend not to realise?

Perhaps the poster's just out birdwatching and isn't that interested in stones, perhaps he'll be back here in the end?

You could be right of course. But I dunno. No offence meant of course.
